Sorayadebie Jhagroe is a highly driven young professional and an inspired changemaker from Suriname, dedicated to co-creating efforts to build resilience and aid in the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. With her passion for contributing to community development, her focus areas include youth development, climate action, energy, environment, and gender. Leading by example, she encourages others to actively participate in addressing pressing developmental challenges. Soraya has contributed in different leadership roles throughout her career. She is the recipient of the CARICOM Women in Sustainable Energy Award (2022) in the Youth Leader category, member of the Caribbean Development Bank’s Future Leaders Network, one of the 35 Under 35 Caribbean Gamechangers, and World Summit Awards Youth Ambassador.
